AUTO FETISH CALANDER BOYS

These works were produced for the Auto Fetish exhibition held at the Newcastle Region Art Gallery. They're a bit of a piss-take of the classic car calendars that often adorn the walls of used car salesmen and mechanics alike featuring half naked girls melting over car bonnets and since part of the exhibition explored the female relationship with cars, I thought I'd turn the tables a little and make a calendar that the ladies could ogle at. But in the end, from the reaction at the show, I think it was still the guys ogling at it - just not the kind of guys who usually ogle at the girls, if you know what I mean.
