CARTOON WORKSHOPS

These Illustrations were created for a series of cartoon and animation workshops put on by the State Library of Queensland. The first Illustration was created for the program cover while the others were for an advertisement for the event. In the end the program cover wasn't used, which was a pity as I really liked this illustration - the character on the building is a development of the sock monkey seen being illustrated in the ad for the event, and the building he is standing on is Brisbane's very own "Gotham Tower" which incidentally sits across the river from the State Library, so I imagined the character to be standing there, with mouse and pencil in hand, ready to leap across to attend the workshops. The staff at the Library felt this might scare the kids, but i'd like to give the kids a little more credit than that. In the end they used an illustration by the guy who created Danger Mouse. I never did like that cartoon.
