COME TOGETHER

This is a detail of an illustration created for a music competition for middle aged ex-rockers put on by the Brisbane City Council. It was kind of funny, when i submitted the original illustration (which was based on a much younger person) they were like, "no, no - older, older!" so each time, I'd submit it back to the client with an exaggerated jowl and moustachio and folds in the neck and each time I did this, the guy who posed for me was like - "no no, please no!", while the client was going "yes yes, please more!" You can easily lose friends including them in your work like this.
