This was a flyer produced for the Brisbane arm of Amnesty International, for their world record attempt at producing an image using 11,000 candles to beat the record for the world's "largest flaming image". I had a friend who once worked for the Guiness Book of Records and she said they pretty much had a record for everything you could imagine, so technically, if you wanted to beat a record, you could devise your own sub-category such as the world's largest flaming image made out of burning peacock feathers - you might even be in with a chance! Anyway, the event was aimed at promoting their campaign to end torture around the world which tied in nicely with the work I was doing at the time on the Free David Hicks campaign produced by GetUp.

The candle design was produced by cutting out "flame shapes" out of different coloured textured cardboard and then photographed layered on top of each other in the midday sun (to get a high-contrast tight cropped shadow). The flyer was also printed on very nice enviro-friendly recycled stock.
