DRAWING CENTRE

Held at the Newcastle Region Art Gallery from the 29th January to the 20th March 2005, Drawing Centre was a survey of Australian Drawing pulled mostly from the gallery's enviable collection of Australian Art and curated by Ross Woodrow. The exhibition featured many of the greats of Australian Art as well as a handfull of established and young artists practicing in the region (including myself). In addition to having work included in the show, I was commissioned to design the exhibition catalogue. I even got to utilise some of my old life drawing sketches form art school and sometimes think that if only the "young me" making these pictures could have known the venerable company and context that these images would one day keep, that perhaps I would have taken a little more time and effort with them
