Speakout donated our services to design a logo for the East Timor Eye Project. The ETEP is a service using volunteer teams from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, International Centre for Eyecare Education and since 2003 the ProVision Optometry Team to provide optomoityr services for and help prevent curable blindness of thr East Timorese population. The two logos to the left are the final two they chose from a number of submission ideas. The logos was influenced by the etching plate linework found in many old medical text-books. The second logo combined an eye chart layout style where the dark of the eyebrow reflected the territory of East Timor - you can imagine my joy when I discovered that the Indonesian island that is comprised of West and East Timor is shaped like an eyebrow!
