Speakout were contracted by Contact, another organisation providing services for local youth in the region to redesign their website. Their main stipulation was that it involved these colours and provided imagery of a cross section of the demographic that Contact work with. Much of Contact's work engages with young indigenous and newly settled refugees and immigrants as well as a wider cross section of the community so they didn't want the website to focus on any one group at the expense of excluding another which is why we went with the illustrative approach which tends to be a bit more general in its representation. The illustrations in the banner are based on photographs of different performances and workshops produced by Contact. Speakout also did a redesign of the original contact logo, retaining the original logo's spiral, but creating a fresh interpretation of the original logo which was about 10 years old.
